Privacy Policy

Account & authentication. When you sign up we collect your name and email address and a password, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk). We store your role (Athletic Trainer or athlete) and, for trainers, practice details and professional credentials you choose to add.

App content. Content you create in the Service — exercise programs, athlete roster records, injury status, treatment and session notes, teams, and training-room schedule and booking data — is stored in our backend (Convex).

Purchases & subscriptions. When you subscribe, our billing provider (RevenueCat) and the relevant payment processor (Stripe for web, Apple for iOS, Google for Android) process the payment. We receive your subscription status, plan, and renewal dates — we do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

Device & usage. To deliver reminders and notifications we store push notification tokens. We collect basic usage and diagnostic data to operate and improve the Service.

• Provide the Service and deliver programs to athletes.
• Power scheduling, bookings, approvals, and session reminders.
• Process subscriptions and keep your access in sync across devices.
• Provide support, maintain security, and prevent abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf, including:

• Clerk — authentication.
• Convex — backend, database, and file storage.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• Stripe, Apple, Google — payment processing.
• Expo — push notification delivery.

We may also disclose information to comply with law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

The Service lets Athletic Trainers record injury status and treatment notes about athletes. Handle this information responsibly and only with appropriate consent. Trainwell is not a HIPAA covered entity, and the Service is not intended to be a system of record for protected health information unless a separate agreement says otherwise.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion as described below.

You can access and update your profile in the app. Trainers can export their data and delete their account from the in-app settings, which removes their associated content. To make any other request, contact us at tyler@trainwellhep.com.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If an athlete is a minor, they should only use the Service with the involvement of a responsible adult.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
